Christa was born with an unquenchable love for horses! She started english riding lessons at the age of 7 and acquired her first pony at the age of 10. Her early formative years were shaped in pony club and 4-H. Her Mom Carole Lee bought her many “project” auction mart horses that helped to shape her into the trainer she is today. Christa learned at an early age how to recognize and rehab problem horses, fix health issues from lack of nutrition to noticing unsoundness problems and starting young colts. Many of these colts took her through the ranks of pony club and local horse shows.
Rocky grew up in a small Rodeo town in Alberta and soon found his way in the rodeo arena riding Jr. Bulls at the age of 13. In his late teens he moved to Manitoba and continued on the rodeo trail. He met some great horsemen along the way that gave him guidance and taught him horsemanship. Being around horses and rodeo gave him a passion to learn the art of Farriery and stop rodeoing, to go to college and become a Farrier.

Live to work don't work to live
Continuing to always stay on top of their passion for learning, you will see them attending and hosting clinics, lessons, blacksmith competitions, and going to reining shows which makes for a busy year aside from the horses they like to stay busy and find joy in nature, hiking in the backcountry, working on their farm, gardening, taking care of their chickens and sheep and working their border collies.
